On a wet and treacherous Saturday night at Le Mans in 1970, the JW Automotive Gulf Porsche 917K driven by Jo Siffert and Brian Redman leads the NART Ferrari 512S of Sam Posey and Ronnie Bucknum as they hurtle at maximum speed along the Mulsanne straight. Although the iconic Porsche was in a strong position to take victory, it was forced to retire on Sunday morning and the Ferrari went on to finish the race in 4th place.
