The Bentley Blower race car was a legendary vehicle that made a name for itself in the early 20th century. This car was specifically designed for racing with a 4.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a Roots-type supercharger that boosted the engine’s power output to 240 horsepower. The car had a top speed of over 120 miles per hour and could accelerate from 0 to 60 in just 6.5 seconds, which was incredibly fast for its time. The Blower’s sleek and aerodynamic design helped it to cut through the air with ease, while its robust chassis and suspension provided exceptional handling and stability on the track.
In 1929, the Blower made its debut at the Brooklands racecourse, known for its high-speed straights and challenging curves, in Surrey, England, where it quickly became a crowd favourite. It is fitting then that this is the famous location in which Keith has chosen to pay tribute to the formidable Bentley.
Over the years, the Bentley Blower continued to dominate on the track, setting numerous speed records and winning various high-profile races. Even today, the car remains an iconic symbol of the golden age of motorsport and is revered by racing enthusiasts around the world.
