Considered by many as the most influential motorcycle rider of all time, Barry Sheene’s career stretched from 1968 to 1984 with over 100 Grand Prix starts, 52 podiums and 23 victories.
He was a two-time World Champion Grand Prix motorcycle road racer, first in 1976 and again in 1977. The second is the theme of Nick Watts’ powerful piece, depicting Sheene riding the Suzuki RG500 on his way to his second World Championship victory.
