Nicholas Watts pays tribute to Derek Bell/Jo Siffert’s Porsche 917LH, entered by J.W. Automotive, at the 39th Edition of Le Mans in 1971. The now iconic light blue and orange Gulf livery became famous mainly due to its appearance in the Steve McQueen film “Le Mans” and to this day it has remained one of the most valuable models.
